Sree Bhavaneeswara temple

The temple is built in the classic Kerala style of architecture.

The history has that, being depressed with caste discrimination that prevailed in the Kerala Community, Swami Vivekananda once called it as a lunatic asylum. The condition of Kerala was so horrible that low caste weren’t even allowed to enter the premises of the temples. It was in such a context that a group of young elderly people in Palluruthy came up with an idea of a temple that is open to all without the discrimination of caste. This group believed that the hep and advice of Sree Narayana Guru, a man who fought against the evils in the Kerala community will help them in achieving the goal.
