The temple is located towards the southern banks of the Brahmaputra River and provides a picturesque view of the mighty river flowing alongside its banks. The Sukreswar temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva dates back to the 18th century. The Sukreswar temple premises also have a Vishnu temple and many other complexes and halls for conducting rituals and pujas. The temple also has one of the largest Shivalingas in India.
