The Rameshwar Mandir is an ancient temple, but its exact date of construction is not known. Records show that the temple has been renovated a number of times in history.
Architecture
The Rameshwar Mandir features the exclusive Hemadpanthi style of architecture. As per historic records, the temple has been renovated a number of times. The temple is a wonderful place to spend some relaxing time and to meditate. The temple complex spreads over a huge piece of land and comprises of a large prayer hall and a sanctum sanctorum. The top of the temple has a dome reaching to a height of 7.62 meters.
There is a huge pond in front of the temple which is known as Pokhran in Marathi. There are also three tanks in the temple premises, the parjnya kund, agni kund and wayu kund. These tanks or kunds represent the three elements of nature namely rain, fire and air. The ambience of the temple and its surroundings are quite calm and serene.
